The hydraulic pipe cutter is a tool for cutting rope drill pipe, casing and core pipe, which can be cut anywhere in the drill string. When in use, the pipe cutter is connected to the drill pipe of the small first-class specification through the adapter. During cutting, the mud pump pumps the high-pressure flushing liquid into the main body of the pipe cutter. The high-pressure liquid pushes the cutter head to slowly open outward to contact with the inner wall of the drill pipe or casing to be cut. The open cutter head rotates and cuts along with the connected drill pipe. After cutting, the pump pressure drops and the cutter head automatically returns to its position after the pump is stopped.
